Leave Her to Heaven (1945)
What a joke. Let's see: a self-centered woman drives her parents to despair, lets a crippled boy (sic: the kid moves his legs when he swims!) drown a few feet from her, then throws herself down the steps to kill her unborn baby, and finally commits suicide and tries to frame her sister for murder. The pancake is an inch think on everybody's perfectly plastered face (so absolutely no facial expressions, folks!) and to top it off, Vincent Price is in the picture. Oscar for best cinematography! (I suppose everybody else's camera broke that year, the War and all.) Leave her to heaven? My foot. Leave her in Hell.
